A special act of Remembrance at Leighton Park today. In silence the community left Meeting for Worship to file to the War Memorial, to plant a red or white poppy and then reflect. "The Last Post" played by trumpeters drifted across the Park. The famous poem For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon, read by Head Matthew Judd, poignantly ended the ceremony.
Lovely to have Billy Sy (G 2003) back on the Park for a visit. He's on holiday in the UK from Hong Kong and kindly offered to come and give a workshop to our GCSE drama students today. We gave him a tour of the school and his old house, Grove, beforehand. Hope you enjoyed reminiscing Billy!
